The Sky at Night
The Sky at Night is the world’s longest running series. It gives an intelligent insight into all things space related – galaxies, stars, planets and more. Presented by Sir Patrick Moore, astronomer and broadcaster, over the years it has covered every aspect of astronomy within a scientific framework. Some are very basic, while others go into much more detail. This means that we have viewers of all ages, and there is, we hope, something for everybody.
Special Edition: In July 2009, BBC World News will be showing a special edition of The Sky at Night to coincide with the 40th anniversary of the moon landing. With an exclusive interview with Buzz Aldrin, the programme will look at moon missions and current moon mapping analysis – exploring the moon’s geology and interviewing experts.
On Saturday 18th July at 0930 and 1730 GMT and on Sunday 19th July at 0130 and 1430 GMT
